Hi All,
Went to install a stereo in my corsa earlier and for some reason the car no longer starts. It doesn't even turn over but has sufficient charge for the electric windows....
The remote fob no longer responds and I have to lock it by key.
When I unlock the car and open the door, the locks go down then pop straight back up again??
Any know what it could be?

Old stereo came out in bits, lol.
I abandoned the new stereo installation when I noticed the problem.
Don't think it's the fob as the led on the original and the spare both work.

defo ur immobiliser pal, had the same problem. There is a tiny chip in the key an they are common to go. If not you need to disengage ur immboliser, did you disconnected the batery atall??

Don't think it is the immob as the car starts when jump-leads are connected so me thinks it's the battery or at worst the alternator.

If the locks go down and shoot straight back up it means either one of the doors arent closed properly or one of the door motors are faulty..... at worse its the control unit.
Have you had your battery tested?

I've not considered the option of the locks being faulty as the car seems to start when jump-leads are connected.
I've got the battery from the garage I bought the car from, so will try that tonight to see if it cures the locks issue.
I'm hoping it will.
