I have been send a 1600 fuel pump with filter!
Do i need the whole housing or can i just sawp the pump over in mine?

I think the holder is different between the single point pumps and the multi point pumps so you will probably need to get one from the scrap yard.
wont take tong to whip the top of the tank off and have a look though

The pump is fine, you just need the housing to put it in. No deed for a new tank or anything

don't really understand what your on about mate but I've just put a GSi pump on my XE and that was origionally a 1.2 if thats any help. I put the whole pump housing straight into my tank - fits perfect.

remove the old fuel pump and housing, fit the new 16v fuel fump in the old housing and re-fit.
simple as that.

Its only a 5 minute job to take the top of the tank off and see so you shouldnt waste too much time. If its different just put the lid back on and go get a new holder for the pump

my mpi pump didnt fit into the spi holder so i ground a bit off the top of the spi holder then it fitted fine
