Because Giggs has been playing since he was 17...hes now 33? or 34? thats 16+ years of earnings. Rooney was about 7 or something when Giggs started his career...

I dunno about that, Giggs used to have a whole load of endorsements, although I doubt with the money in football today that they were worth anywhere near what Rooneys are.
