Had a phoneline with them for a while now and the reception/clarity is terrible! Had broadband fitted yesterday, tried to set it all up on the laptop and got an error page saying they were updating there accounts systems and to try again on 6 April. Not happy!
Tried to ring and complain and the only number they could give me was a premium rate 25p per minute line. Customer service is terrible and it sounds like they fob you off to some plank in India whenever you ring up!
Point of thread. Bitch about Virgin Media, and if you not with them.. never sign up!!

Then they tell you to ring some 0906 premium rate number as they 'are not trained to deal with broadband queries"..

Been with Cabletel/NTL/Virgin for around 10 years, never had any major problems. Had a few moments where we needed to call them but it all got sorted in a swift mannor.
but have a look at http://www.saynoto0870.com/ see if you can find a free or local call number instead of the premium rate line

If you have to speak to Virgin about a problem and it's their fault they remove the cost of your call to them.
I've been with them 5 years living here and about 5 years previous to that when at my parents.
Never really had any problems.

Their customer service isn't the best. But usually they sort any problems quite quickly and giving us something free.

My dad is with them for our BB, never had any problems with them. They do some pretty good deals on the multi-room digi TV aswell.
