this eveing i was doing great on rainbow 6 vegas on the 360, haveing "the game of my life" when this happened
not a problem, got off my arse and turn it off, then back on again to this

GUTTED, Its a VERY common problem!
My brother has just got his back Il ask him tomorrow how he knew were to send it to be repaired, it was free under warrenty and only took a week, he got a free month of live as compo as well!

Can't they make these things work?!
i mean seriously for a minute Steve - I know you defend these to the death - I don't have either Xbox360 or PS3 and have no desire to own either, if any I'll buy a Wii and DS but that's by the by, you don't hear of PS3's breaking down all the time and having to go back, you wouldn't accept it if you rbrand new car kept doing it and you had to wait a week without it for it to be repaired - so why is it ok to accept it from a poxy games console?
I really don't understand.
If they don't work they Microsoft whould sort out a fix for them and deal with the problem rather than expect people to buy a new console everytime it happens and it's not covered - has the world gone crazy?!

The screen going all fucked up like that, thats what happened to my first 360. Think its a sign of the graphics chip overheating. I never had the 3 Red Rings though.

no microsoft are fixing any console that gets the red rings, they arent expecting you to buy a new console everytime.

Fact is....if you dont wanna take the risk, then simply don't buy one and stop fuckin whingin.
Personally I think the 360 is awesome and it's never let me down in 2yrs.
On a side note: My mates PS3 broke after 2 days.
