they produce pretty much the same graphics etc so nothing in it hardware wise, apart from the ps3 has a blu ray player of course.

i think the 360 has a wider selection of games, and better online system, and a personal preference, i prefer the controllers.

Also if you get an elite you get a 120gb HDD

i loved my old xbox, played black all the time. i got a ps2 now, and its just bilge.

This is getting moved to geek day

360 is cheaper to buy, but it's an extra £60 to make it wireless, you dont get much storage space on the basic models & it costs £40 a year to use it online. Lots of games to choose from

PS3 is wireless, costs less to run, has bluray which is better for the games. Rumors are that some 360 games might start to be split over two discs

Out of the box the PS3 is better. But it'll cost you a bit more

Add up the costs of ownership, adding the bits you'd want it to have & there really isn't much in it

Wireless is more like £50 and you dont have to have it wireless its just as easy to have it wired like we do

And live is never as much as £40 either!!

Ive just paid £30 for mine

If you want online gaming then xbox wins all day

Shooting games, get a Wii

Racing games, has to be a PS3 for Gran Turismo

Games like Halo etc then you obviously need a 360!

Other games then its personal preferance.

Im very happy with my Xbox no desire to own a ps3 untill they are cheaper.

Not played the new GT game, but FM2 is simply the best driving game ive ever played.

Also own a wii and thats cool too. In short get them all.....

There's no point arguing with 360 owners.

We know they'll all have to buy a ps3 eventually when their obsolete console, using games split across multiple discs, can't play high def media, bits sticking out everywhere for wireless, hd-dvd drives, power supplys, is away for repair for the 10th time and they finally admit defeat.
