Then you can advise students who have hassle with landlords, and charge. If it's anything like the trouble people have in Luton, you'll be quids in.

Plus maintenance loan, my debt is shy of £17k

Fuck coming out of uni with 17k debt, you'll spend your life paying that back and unless it's a decent degree or you're lucky you'll never see it back.

If you earn under £15k for something like 20 years it gets whipped clean. But fuck earning less than that for that long.

It's paid in line with earnings. AND, it doesn't affect your credit rating. Apparently. They also said the interest is in line with inflation. Is it fuck.

it IS the cheapest loan you will get, i start paying mine this month

i will be paying 4.5% on it, no point paying it off quicker than i need, its the cheapest loan so if i can afford to pay it off quicker that money can go towards other debt (if i have any) or to bung in savings account

£17k though i thought my £9k was bad (although now closer to £10K )

£9k on fees. About £6k on maintenance loan, which is the basic.

I couldn't have passed my degree without it (needing to work so much) so had no choice.

Student loan repayments are a killer...they take just under £340 a month straight from my wages every month...Its worth it though as I would only be on a quarter of what I am paid now if I didnt go to uni and do my degree...
