Well, everyones case against classic speed camera was that people suddenly slam on the brakes when they see the white lines causing an accident. Bit of a Touche really isn't it haha

I'm used to these on the way to work anyway tbh.

They are normall well sign posted...so when your on a stretch with them on...stick to the speed limit...they wont be rolled out nationwide (short to medium term) as it would cost too much...

On my way up to the midlands just over a wekk ago they were using them in alot of roadworks areas, they do the job as everyone slowed down but it infuriates me that u can't do anything in this country now without money to be made.

Makes me laugh when i'm in average speed zones and people do 80mph+ up to the camera then brake suddenly when they get near the camera Do they not understand it takes an average speed.

thats because quite a few road workers get injured or killed from being hit by cars etc and the fact 3 lane often merge into 2 etc so they can be justified there.

i think this should be seen as the last straw if they get introduced on every major road on the uk though

TBH they're quite justified. They're put in accident hot spots. How can you argue with that?

I wish people would actually stand united in this situation... everyone accross the country stop paying council tax or something radical like that.

Also i believe we should have another strike and road mayhem in order to piss the government off and do something about petrol price.

Would never happen but i need to vent... thanks!

"Thirty-four cameras have apparently been installed and are being tested on a five-mile stretch of the A13 in east London from Canning Town to the Gorsebrook interchange." Bollocks. Thats exactly where I live I drive down that road all the time

What they will do though is take away the "grey" area of when its ok to speed...if there is ever such a thing

In black spots and road works they are an excellent idea...they wont roll them out anywhere else though...
