Car started running crap and ECU light came on, stalling at junctions, difficult to re-start, jerky at low revs ... tracked it down to the a split vacuum pipe going to the MAP sensor, fixed that and it was running sweet for a good few months. Cars then sat for about 5 month (with battery disconnected) started it up now and again and it seemed to be ok, just driven it for the first time today (for its MOT) and 2 mins down the road the ECU light comes on and it starts running crap again (same as it was doing before), checked a few vac pipes, connections on MAP sensor but cant seem to find anything.
Any ideas ?? how do you go about reading / clearing the fault codes on these ??
Cheers

Had the car in for its MOT today, failed on - Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content at idle excessive.
Anyone any info on doing the paper clip test ? i know you join a couple of wires together to flash up thr codes ... not sure which wires it is tho, also anyone got a list of the codes ?
