ok folks need a bit of advice here , basicaly a have a full omega estate 2.5 v6 ecotech sitting in my garage with crash damage to the front , had an idea to transplant the full running gear into a corsa , was thinking cutting the transmition tunnel out the omega shell and welding it into a corsa shell , shortening the propshaft and mounting the diff/axle on the rear of the corsa , just an idea for now , looking for sum feedback before a buy a corsa shell , a know its lots of work but i am a fabricator/welder by trade so dont mind the welding involved , has this been done before ? a have seen a few v6's in corsa's with the fwd gearboxes but never seen a rwd corsa apart from the handfull off rear engine ones , help

if your thinking of a corsa b then the omega front subframe wont bolt on as the corsa doesnt have a subframe

Alot of work imo
chances are an xe or let 4x4 would be easier
unless you mounted the engine in the back

just chose corsa b because ave always liked them , any other options guys ? astra ? corsa c ? astra van ? just looking for a project , sumthing different , and preferably rwd , if it comes to it a would even convert to one of the fwd boxes , did think about rear mounting it but the engine, box, diff combined lengh is a bit long , a think longer than could possible fit in a corsa's boot anyway

Why don't you try that in a corsa combo?

if it was rear mounted with an f20 box then it would be rwd
