ritght i really got the erge to go n cut my springs lol i no its not a good idea but i just want my car to sit lower at the mo it on 40mm springs is there anyway of choping the rear springs as they look like u cant lol

i want a quick and easy bodge for the time bein

yeh just take an angle grinder to the springs, then step back and admire your handy work. if not low enough then have another go

thats what i was going to do but had a look at the rear springs and they go from thin to fat in the middle back to thin doesnt that mata

I've got 60mm springs cut - not comfy

40's might be slightly more comfortable!

MAD MIKE is a an expert in crazy modding i ve heared that hes trying to fit an exhuast system which can be switched on instead of the heater throwing over some nice smell of petrol inside..

lol all im in need of now is advice on wat is the best way to cut the rear spring if i cut just 1 coil out would that be fine

how low u want it? 1 coil might not be enough

about 60-70mm on the rear and at the mo it 40mm

no worries i think i will just go atempt cutting me springs tomoz if it goes rong i can bodge it some how till i get money to actually buy the springs cheers for the replys lads but im off

well as im no expert diyer lol this what i thought of doing

step1. Jack car up remove rear spings
step2. mark of were i want to cut on the top of the spring
step3. cut lol
step4. take the cut of coil and put it on the other spring and mark of then cut.
step5. Refit springs to find out my cars arse is dragging along the floor

If it all fails i will just end up going to a vauxhall scrap yard in dunstable and seing if they got any springs lol
