Well here it is, my newest ‘Skunkworkz’ creation.
I fancied doing something a bit different that you don’t regularly see modified, but in keeping with my usual style of subtly modified. There were a few things that I regretted not doing on my previous car, but I have carried them out along with a lot of other ideas this time around.
I had my heart set on an Astra Convertible Turbo, and it had to have some extras on it to make it worth my while. I was lucky enough to find a 55 Plate 2006 Model which makes it literally one of the last ones to roll off of the production line, and it had only 12k on the clock, and it had the following options:
18” Wheel Option, Leather Pack, Technical Pack (trip computer and cruise control), Climate Control, Sat Nav, Rear Parking Sensors and Metallic Paint.
These extras took the car from its on the road price of £22,145 to a massive £26,255!
Since then I’ve also added some other options that were in the brochure but not selected:
Rear Wind Deflector, Rear Headrest Inserts, Colour Sat Nav Screen and Xenon Headlights.
This has now taken the car to what would have been an on the road price of £27,555!
Now there’s no way I would have paid nearly £28k for an Astra, hence I brought it 18 months old with a massive saving.
So here’s whats been going on. I fancied something a little euro but nothing too smooth.
Here are the pics along with a tech spec to make it easier for the more subtle mods.

Brilliant work, easily the best Astra Coupe I've seen, and probably ever likely to see TBH.

Stunning, love the hineycomb grille to match the lower GSi bumper honeycomb mesh
Does that grille have to have the bodycoloured "monobrow" on it?
