Went to college last year when i had just turned 19 and started a body repair and paint course, passed my first part and then got offered an Apprenticeship to become a mechanic so i thought great what a chance to get paid while grafting on motors .. unfortunatley it didnt work out at all and now really regretting leaving college!
im in Newcastle area and just wondering if anyone knows someone or knows a place that is taking Apprentices on in body repair or paint ?

my advice would be to go and ask at everybodyshop locally, a quick chat with the boss is always best in my experience
you may find a firm that are thinking about taking an apprentice on but unsure of all the admin, time involved and if you drop in there lap everyones a winner

my advice to you is not to ring around. send in letters with a CV attached, atleast that way you will be in there systems for the future. thats what i did and about 3 weeks after getting mine i got offered one at merc and volvo...
also there are some training centre about such as REMIT which are a goverment funded system which sorts out apprentaships, they look for them, do ALL the work. these are also definately worth a try. REMIT also specialise in apprentaships in the motor industry
