Pep Guardiola

VERY bad move imo to appoint such an un-experienced coach, he was coaching the reserves i had noticed when i was over there a couple months ago. Great player in his day but from Barca reserves to a team that wants to win La Liga and the Champions League every season?

Giovanni, Ronaldinho, Etoo, Gudjohnsen and possibly Henry should all be leaving. Theoretically looks like a clearing of the decks and long term strategy put in place, in practice he'll get 6 months and if they aren't challening he'll be sacked. You really scratch your head at some decisions in football sometimes!

I actually think its a slightly better idea than getting someone like Mourinho.

If they got him then success would be expected right away - no matter how mouthy Mourinho was about his 'plan'.

Its kind of a Keegan scenario, where an ex player (or manager in that case) will get slightly longer with the fans to get things right.

Still though, big move to put an unproven guy incharge.
