Rightey ho, since I've done my first mod, here is my Ibiza!
I picked her up after hating the Clio - it was too slow and rattled alot, plus it had problems starting in the morning, used to run on 3 then fire on the 4th!
So I swapped it with the current Ibiza, an MY02 Mk4 1.9TDi Sport pre facelift (doesn't look very flash but was the flagship model before the FR/Cupra).
This is how it looked as I got it:
Bit of a state, wheels are in no other words FUCKED (really want some new ones!)
First thing I did was silver mirror covers, at the grand cost of £6.39 each
Then it started flashing "INSP" at me, so a service was in order. GF's dad helped me do it this time so its all good now. Also, changed the air and more recently the fuel filter, have gained many many MPGs doing this
Ordered some flatblade wipers off ebay cos I liked them, got them fitted, now I can see when it rains!
Had it rolling roaded with the CS lot, produced some outstanding results:
Latest mod - HIDs! Previous owner was moving house and he found them, sold them on to me at a very nice price!
Fitted them yesterday (09/05/2008) with a few minor hicups.
Anyway, before:
During:
After:
What a badger to fit. Need tiny tiny hands. Secured one to the fuel filter housing (hope it doesnt get too hot!! ) and the other one is banging around a bit at the moment. During fitting, my mate turns up and says "Ive got some LED sidelights that would look good". Hmmm OK, he fits them and fuses one side of the car's light
So now I've got to find a new mini blade 5 amp fuse - nowhere sells them
Future plans:
-New front bumper -mines mashed!!! Want the pre FR inserts as well
-New wheels (gulp)
-Some interior tricks - already got some useless alpine headunit and ipod controler that rattles everywhere. Want something a buit different
-Lowered 40mm
-Possibly remap - but i'm happy with the power.

Deano, the 1.4TDi lacks a punch, the car's too big for a 1.4 IMO.
148 is the standard engine... Thinking about a remap, but if anything it would be to improve the overall smoothness of the car, not for silly amounts of (IMO) useless power.
Just bought some lower FR grills, should be here tomorrow so all being well will get them fitted.

Get the upper honeycombe FR grills as well
100PS 1.9 sounds tempting as well - best of both worlds in terms of economy, tax, insurance & speed.

Driven a 100bhp 1.9. Its a lovely car, no lacking in power at all. Average MPG is slightly higher than mine, but lacks 6th gear so dooesnt perform as well 80-85. Tax is £115 for the year and doesnt change in 2010 with mine or any other of the 1.9s.

Good to know.
Corsa C 1.3 CDTi £35 tax/year sounds too appealing though

Small Update - Clean, Interior bits and Grills
Grills arrived at work today, now they are tucked up in the server cupboard till hometime
Fitted a little ashtray light recently as well, saves me loosing things in the ccubby hole at the bottom of the dash. Fits in brilliantly with the lighting IMO:
Pinched the glovebox light out of Dads Audi (he doesnt care, he gets a brand new one end of this month!), wired it into the interior light so was a free mod:
Comes on when ever the interior light does
A few general pictures after a full inside and out wash:
Enjoy
