my spi is running very rich, its drinking fuel, therefore its running very hot and if i stop in traffic for any longer than a minute it cuts out.
i unpluged the tps yesterday and now since i plugged it back in the revs sit at 1100 ish at idle.
ive got another tps here im gunna swap it over today see if it makes any difference.
any help as to whats causing it to run like this is appreciated,

does it have a fan??? does that turn on at 100 degrees??? if not then it could be the same as what was wrong with mine and ur thermostat is buggered. mine dont cut out now but it drinks like a bitch

nah its deffinatley not that, its a sensor or something thats causing it to run rich, thermostat was done with headgasket etc not long ago, fan cuts in as usuall,
its running hot because of the amount of fuel its trying to burn, it stinks. i suspect lambda but theres no eml light on or anything.
