If its the stuff Robbo talks about dont bother, the latency will fuck up your game experience.

Won't work on a 360, the modems do install their own drivers.

plugging a Vodafone USB modem into a ps3 or xbox360 will NOT work, the installed drivers in the sticks are for visat xp and mac OS only.

Maybe on vodashite.
I use a 3 USB modem and my xbox live runs great on it! Seriously! I was surprised myself. Then again, it does connect at 3.6mbps anyway.
Seriously Kyle, get one
Don't let Robbo sell you some shite voda one tho. I love how people think they're gettin a great deal..."HELLO! He gets commission!" - Of course 'voda is the best'.
Get a 3 one.

I've have 0 issues with 3. TBH, if you cant work the 3 one then you're a bit silly. Couldn't get anymore straight forward.
As for coverage, yes, I suppose you should look up what's best in your area first, but in my area 3 and Orange seem to be top dogs.

a) i dont get commission on mobile broadband, im only an accountant but yes i can get slightly improved deals through our recommend a friend deal so kindly fuck off and do one
b) they are consistently rated as the best on the market so its not just me syaign they are the best Same speed, same price (other than prepay iirc) but much better customer service, reputations etc

It's not so much the speed of the connection with these wireless broadband modems, it's the inherent latency with the type of connection it is.
I haven't used one to game online though and brett has so i'd go with what he says.

In fact, look at this... seems ours is fastest too
http://www.bestmobilebroadband.co.uk/
Albeit in the few places with full HSDPA (although we have just announ ced 8 more cities to get HSDPA coverage by the end of the summer)
Avg vodafone rating 7.6/10... Avg 3 rating 5.44/10...
