So.........This is my third Corsa, owned two 12v's before which i did some crazy stuff to. I turned 21 and baged a bargain on a Corsa Sport 1.6 1999. It cost £1000 and was in almost perfect condition. This time im keeping it almost standard

Thought i would start a build thread so i can see the progress myself and get some constructive comments off you guys

So these are pics of the car the morning after I got her,

So the car sat in the garden at my student house for about a month whilst i tryed to sell my old car and try and get a good insurance quote (£650 btw) (oh and my old car is still for sale god damn it

If your interested - check it out
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=424435

Whilst it was in the garden i did a few mods. Janspeed exhaust, grey side repeaters, Depo's, smaller arial, and also a new wing mirror. (Which i stole of the car for sale )

...and some new number plates:

finally got her on the road

Haven’t done much to her since shes been on the road, tried to clean up the engine bay lol......the results:

Not allot of difference there!

Finally i got a few weekends to fit my head unit in (Fli Swat5) then this week/weekend installed my amp and sub.
With the help of some cardboard

The result is quite good:

As you can see.......the earth is bodged, but i purchased a 1/2" ratchet of ebay today then i need to buy a big enough socket so i can earth the amp onto the seat belt bracket.

Plans for the car are:

*Refurb the alloys
*Punto Rear wiper
*Sort the front wiper arms out, as the paint is pealing
*Re-route the Amp + cable through the bulk head rather than around the wing (lol)
*Source a new steering wheel, and drivers seat

......Basically turn it into a minter we will see LOL

Looks tidy that. Should've took the earth cable under the plastic to tidy it a little more.

A few minor updates here:

I got some of that clay bar stuff and tested it on a front wing, i was pretty impressed with it:

Then I spend a few hours t-cutting the roof and rear, then doing some clay bar, and then a polish and it was mega shiney:

Then i got some new wiper arms as old ones were shabby:

Heres a pic of the smaller arial i found (i dont know what car it is off):

Got my sub some better vibe cable, rather than the crappy wilkoes stuff i was using before:

Got a new punto rear wiper:

This is a pic of the damaged steering wheel, so im lookin for new air bags on ebay:

A picture of my car on a hill, it dont look that bad, but it felt like it was about to topple over in real life. lol:

This is a pic to prove my car does 70mph!

lol, really i was driving along and the clock turned to 990000 so i thought id take a pic.

I saw someone on here, that changed their 5th gear so their car would have lower revs in 5th. So i took a pic of mine doing 70mph and there was the fraction of differnce (so seems pointless to me, i think that was a 12v tho)

Well it a pile of shit, and i broke my hazard switch in the prossess. lol

Myth busted!

Hello,

Got this little chap in my car aswell what me mum got me:

Notice the IAM tax disk holder aswell, im like trying to do advanced driving, but usually miss da lessons as im too hungover. lol

Got a flash bottle and filled it with gunk so i could spray it nicely over my engine bay and clean it all up

Soapy:

Still isnt very clean

So i took a wire brush and gunk to my top inlet manifold to bling it up and
my mate SEZ gave me his red rocker cover:

Im not to sure on it, what do people think?

Would it make more sence to paint it blue?

Either way in gonna get a vauxhall decal for it and the vauxhall logo make it look like a c16xe
Then paint my manifold black. YES OR NO?

The mirror that i knicked of my old car was a manual mirror and this car has electric ones so to sawp them over i had the keep the existing mirror internals, and because the world worst spray job had been done on it, it looked like this:

So i restored it with some sandpaper:

The result was ace:

Me and my mate SEZ took some desent ish pics of our cars aswell:

And i did some back to blacking last night and had a BBQ:

Them chairs look like they could be back to blacked, lookin abit grey there.

Small update, nothing interesting

Won this little kid in a grabba machine in Scarborough:

Got maself a full set of the corsa car mats from Vauxhall, around £35 on trade. which i lied about:

This is the reason i want a new drivers seat, everytime i sit in the car get a metal rod up my ass. quite annoying:

This is a pic of a lock thing in my car. Im not sure weather to keep it in or take it out. and use a normal handbreak/gear leaver lock which i can remove. What do you think? Cuz it kinda looks a mess!
