hello everyone, i have recently been itching to drive places and get photos of scenery and wildlife and fast moving traffic.

i have never ever used anythin more than a regular fuji camera for pictures, but im looking to buy a camera that does the good pictures.

wanna slowly start gettin some kit together, what would be a good starter camera just to snap some random stuff?

10-20 second shutter speed, with a tripod to hold it still.

Basically anything within that time frame that moves, it records it in a way, it's a cool effect.

So am I right in thinking that when your shutter speed is set to let more light in it just takes one photo for say 10 seconds long? And the faster the shutter speed you get a crisp image not blurred?

so if the below shutter speeds were set right i could take photos like the traffic one above.

Max Shutter Speed: 1/4000 sec
Min Shutter Speed: 30 sec

yeah, easily

that one was 8 secs, I didnt have a good weight of traffic though cause it was like 9pm

better in the winter when its dark at rush hour

dont go in the wind though cause the cam blows about on the tripod it actually turned out straighter than I thought it would, it was moving quite a bit

has your tripod got a hook on the center? if its similar to mine it should have a hook to weight it down.

nahh my tripod is a cheap shit £10.99 one from P.C world, after it ruining them pics though im gonna invest in a new one,

that traffic pic I posted was the worst focused and the worst exposed but had the least wobbly lines, some of the others were good quality but the lines were diabolical

I quite like the bridge ones too im proud of them

Look out for tripods coming back to aldi again.

10 quid mine cost me and it's excellent value for money.

I know it won't be as good as a 200 quid manfrotto but for the price it can't be beaten.

Fuji bridge style cameras are pretty decent, most take AAs though so battery life sucks.

get a 400D if you really wanna get into photography. 450D out now so prices have dropped for the 400D.

Means you can experiment with other lenses as well.
