ive asked before but didnt really get the answer i wanted so here goes again
ive fitted a redtop engine out of a 90 cav gsi into a 96 corsa B ive done the conversion myself and got it all wired up and running.
i put it in the garage and returned to finish it off the following weekend and it wouldnt start,it wants to start but wont run
ive changed the following
fuel pump relay
crankshaft sensor
dizzy cap and rotor arm
the fuel pump relay clicks when the ignition is switched on and theres a good spark.
right now heres the real problem the fuel pump dosent prime when the ignition is switched on but when the car is turning over theres good fuel pessure
ive poured neat fuel straght into the carb and it fires up and runs till the fuel has gone
all the wiring and earths seem fine ive had a second opinion on it and he agrees
any help would be much appriecated

Are all your inlet pipes on properly? Just made me wonder when you started it with fuel poured down the throttle body. They wont run with the AFM connected but not in the stream of air going into the engine, or it could be a busted AFM. Try unplugging it and see if it helps

My LET doesnt prime when you turn the key either. I mean are all your intake pipes on when your trying to start the car? If you have the AFM plugged in then it has to be piped into the inlet pipe as well.
If you have the AFM plugged in but just sat on the side then you will get the problem you describe, also if you have a broken AFM it will do the same.
Unplugging the AFM and trying to get it to run will help you figure out if that is the problem or not

Wire the pump up direct to the battery; easiest way to elliminate it.
