i've seen a nice arden blue breeze for sale but it says 1.2 an when you look at the picture of the engine its an 8v did they make an 1.2 8v breeze?

Yes. It is a mixture between pre and post-97. Look at the bump strips, they should be thin rather than thick.

May have power steering but with a 2 spoke steering wheel because it doesn't have airbag etc.

not too true deano.ive had two.both r reg breezes

1st one - big bumpstrips and P.A.S



2nd one - small bumpstrips and NO P.A.S
