follow up from my engine rebuild thread,

I've just ordered an eibach -50mm complete lowering kit
it should be here for the end of the week......can't wait

are eibach ones any good? and are the fronts easy to fit?

the eibach -50mm spring kit is good, only issue I find is that the rear only goes down about 25mm

Random - whats the proper way to losen the rear shocks, i've always put vice grips on the top and losened the bolt, is there a better way just out of curiousity?

post 97 colour coded bumpers and a new set of alloys and that car will look great

so car spec now, as follows,

engine
x16xe fully rebuilt with
uprated bearing shells
arp con rod bolts
'wossener' steel con rods
arp head bolts
288 cams

gearbox
f15 with quaife limited slip diff

suspension
lowered 50mm on eibach kit

brakes
cavalier 2 litre with red dot pads

shell
fully seam welded and strengthened
all running gear painted blue (same as engine parts)
fully undersealed

to do list.........

throttle bodies
sideskirts
full respray (when I get round to it (scabby in places))
take it to a rolling road session to see what power its chucking out (after throttle bodies are fitted)

nearly there
