Why won't he just come out and say hes either staying or leaving? Hes being quoted as saying both now!!

Now hes saying hes going to make an anouncement on his decision in the next few days.

If you were Fergie you'd have to be getting pretty pissed off that even the player is saying to the media that he might not stay.

Either that or hes been told to wind Madrid up as much as he can

He's blatantly going to come out and say he's staying. Hasn't he got 4 years to run on his contract? Why would he sign that and then say he wants out?

Also, that Shcuster (sp) bloke comes across as a bit of a cock tbh.

Yeah he has 4 years left.

Considering hes already said hes supposedly staying I wouldn't have thought he would need to publicly say hes staying!

I don't think it's mind games because I'm sure he doesn't plan to stay at Man Utd for that long, he's pretty much achieved everything he can with them, only thing left is to do it all in the same season now, I reckon he's tempted by Madrid you know!

I reckon he'd prefer the weather and lifestyle being from mainland Europe. I wouldn't go if he fancied being succesful, he's at the perfect club for that just now.

I think he is really considering it, although saying that, he could equally be trying to drag it out just for fun

Although i think he will be gone within the next 2 years, most likely end of next season

I think he should stay at United until he's late twenties tbh, then go to Madrid, but that's my bias coming into it

If you're at the top of your game why take a step back though thats the thing. Man United are the champions of Europe and the best and hardest league within Europe. Madrid, although they'll always be there or therabouts haven't done anything in Europe for years.

I agree Hammer, i think it would be a mistake for him to go to mardrid so soon, Beckham and RVN went at the right age i think

I think it makes it more of a challenge for him, to go to a team that isnt winning things (well, Europe anyway) and then win it with them. That way he can be the big headed cock he is and say its all down to him joining

I think he certainly is tempted, but dont think he'll go this season. Maybe next summer he could though.

And at Fergie saying that the Glazers would let him rot in the reserves before selling him. This is a club thats got debts of approx £700m and they'd not cash in on a possible £100m player.

In a Schumacher stylee Cosmos?

PS welcome to every single Summer at Arsenal pretty much since AW joined where the "big boys" of Europe try and steal our players and generally fail miserably by missing out (Vieira for about 3 years in a row) or paying ridiculous sums (Overmars, Petit, Anelka etc)

I would agree though that he will most likely stay then go next Summer... I foresee him moving around a fair bit tbh

I say let the lad go, if he's not got enough respect for the club just to come out and say what he's doing then he's not worth it imo. Cash in now and pay off some debt. Chris Eagles FTW

I couldnt, although the stupidity of Fergie to actually think that they'd waste such an opportunity is laughable tbh.

I'd be gutted if our Ronaldo left. He's a fooking diamond. Real offered 65m + Robinho for him -- no thank you!

Fergie has shown in the past he will get rid of any player who doesnt wanna be at the club/causes trouble in the dressing room.

Would like to see him stay though, obviously.
