If you could pick 3 realistic signings for your club next season, who would they be and how would they fit into you team (i.e formation)

Mine would be:

Liverpool

Reina

Finnan, Carragher, Agger, Lahm

Kuyt, Gerrard, Macherano, Barry, Van der Vaart

Torres

Lets see your ideas...

Samir Nasri - Replacement for Alex Hleb :/

Yaya Toure - Replacement for Mathieu "UEFA Cup" Flamini

Aaron Ramsey Cover for Cesc

David Villa - General all round quality player

Vincent Kompany - Quality defender

I picked 5 as 2 are replacements :/

Almunia

Sagna K.Toure Gallas Clichy

D Villa Cesc Y.Toure Rosicky RVP

Adebayor

Fabianski
Kompany
Eboue
Walcott
Eduardo

D Villa/RVP playing in front of Cesc etc. but behind Adebayor

Man Utd

Van Der Sar
Richards Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Nani
Rooney Tevez

Only made 1 change there as I think thats the only one which we will change for first team.

Aye! An Arsenal supporting Man City player (who's also English) to Utd :/

Cracking player though! Although used more as a CB now than RB IIRC?

Robbo always pushing it

Matt, that's a bit premature based on one european game each (I presume you haven't been watching the bundesliga all last year?)

I will hold judgement until later but realistically barry is on his way in, i would like to see a top quality striker like berbatov or villa or anyone world class who can play a bit deeper in a partnership with torres.

Probably quaresma aswell, not sure what other wingers out there we could realistically buy.

I think we have our defense pretty much sorted now.

Quaresma, Moutinho, David Villa all being touted about every club going atm lol

Lahm is very good on his day, RVDV is very hit and miss, but when he hits hes like last night and top class!

Agreed mate, and we've turned down the chance to sign him like 4 times so far :/

Could be a makeweight in any Hleb deal though

Im very suprised Quaresma didnt even get on the pitch in the portugal game. Only seen him a few times but looks quality.

Although I suppose Nani is higher than him in the pecking order

Dossena - may as well include him seems he has signed already. Have heard good stuff about him though, especially his attacking ability. Cost: £6m

Richards - need a good RB who can attack forward more. Cost: £20m

Queresma - we are crying out for another attacking threat for the right side, and although Kuyt can be great in this role he doesnt give us what we really need. Cost £16m

Total cost: £42m

Sell - Crouch £10m, Riise £5m, Carson £6m, Pennant £4m, Guthrie £2m, Misc youngsters £2m.

Total sold: £29m

Richards------------Carra----------Agger/Skrtel----------Dossena

-----------------------Masch----------------Alonso-------------------

----------------------------------Gerrard------------------------------

----Queresma-----------------------------------------------Babel----

Or a footballer from an average club to one of the best. That's how he'd think of it.

Was thinking more the reluctance of City to sell to Utd than Richards tbh

I see what your saying in terms of added flair further forward but on the basis of the Champions League games last season and last nights game i reckon Kuyt's fast becoming one of the best attacking right sided players in europe, he works like an absolute trojan!

But he scores about 3 goals a season

If he added goal scoring to his game and could chip in with 15-20 goals in all comps then I'd have him starting every game as I really do rate him.
