After reading up on this you only really need a heater if you run it 100% on vegghie oil.
But a pug 306 td seems to be best for running on veg oil imo.

Grande Punto.
I don't know. It's just a filter with a heater element in it. Nearly all diesel engines have them anywany.

only a matter of time before cooking oil starts hiking up in price. The Government aint going to miss a trick if they think there is cash to be made.

If you use it as fuel then you are meant to declare it and pay fuel duty. The price of veg oil is increasing because it is being used as a fuel as well as a cooking product, not because of the government slapping extra tax on it - it is already taxed if used as a fuel.

just register and dont declare how much you use, they cant prove how much your using
Amazing though, they go on and on about going green, veg oil gives of no carbon emisions if used 100% yet you still pay tax.
that just proves its more about raising money than going green.

Using veg oil does give off carbon emissions though. The benefit of using it is that it isn't a finite resource like crude.

It hardly gives off any and what it does give off the plant when it grows actually absorbs carbon dioxide making it carbon neutral There is therefore no net addition to the carbon in free circulation.

Carbon neutrality is the biggest load of bollocks. You can't say that by growing oilseed rape you are offsetting the emissions given by the car. And anyhow, you are forgetting all the emissions given off during the processing of the product.

There is a website bioveg or something.
which tells you how much carbon emisions is given off in the manfacturing process and how much it absorbs while growing.it does indeed make it carbon neutral
