After getting a wiring loom and trying that.....it turns out my mates ECU is buggered....

C20XE ECU as close to Yorkshire as possible....Thanks!! will collect today

make sure you get the right ECU code mate, i ended up buying loads redtop ECU's when mine went!

im sure theres 3 types

dizzy, dizzyless, and there 20xe with no lamda sensor

ive mix and matches dizzyless ecu's and never had a problem, but then ive never had any the other 2 versions lol

Sometimes you need to have a certain code ECU for example if you want your fuel computer to work in a Cav you need a PL code I think.

As long as you get the correct Bosch motronic version you should be OK.

I have an early XE ECU. Code FP. From a 89 Astra GTE non Lambda.

Trust me, its just what you want.

i agree fp code is non lambda as i have 2 sitting here
