Manager's short term job security - OK for now, who knows after september, I would hope he will be backed who ever ends up in charge for at least this season as he deserves to be.
Manager's long term job security - Less rosey unless he challenges for the league this year.
Summary for next season - Hopefully get rid of the americans without sacrficing Benitez. Hopefully we can make some big signings to complement our existing backbone. Sammy lee to help some youngsters to get a game, babel to turn it up a notch. The main thing as ever is to challenge for the league and not sacrifice any ground in the league for the CL.

Manager's long term job security - I doubt he'll stay much longer than maybe a couple of seasons, the pressure he's under is unbelievable irregardless of the succes he's brought. He's been told he has a job for life here though.
Summary for next season - Winning the title is still our priority but with another decent striker and left back i reckon last 16 is achievable and with a favourable draw maybe even last 8. I'm hoping this is the year we can break our European away curse as well and play some decent consistent football along the way!
