i bought a chip for my sri but the chip i got is just one that plugs in and the original is in a plastic block, soldered onto other pins...hopefully you know wat i mean as i havent got a pic yet lol...is anyone on this site from aberdeen or somewhere close to that area that knows of a company that fits chips quite cheap as i have no idea how to solder and would prefer a pro to do it? my mate says hes a shit hot solderer but if he fuks up i'm screwed lol

You see, the chip i have already was soldered onto the others. With another chip next to it in the blue socket

did the soldered one have a white cover over it? bottom o the plastic block says white?
