Me my mate took his LET corsa -

to be rolling roaded today.

Mods are -

FMIC
Saab injectors
10psi
Full exhaust, turbo back
evo 5 chip
hybrid turbo

Brand new engine from vauxhall too, only covered 2400miles

Anyway, it made 240bhp at the wheels.

The dyno bloke said he needs a FPR, a amal valve?! (wtf?!) and a XE inlet cam, to see another 20bhp.

Seem a realistic figure? WTF is a amal valve?

No graph, sorry

No sorry, looks pretty much standard though, bar a green filter and a polished rocker-cover

Dyno bloke said i could get rid of amal valve and have a bleed valve or adjust the actuator, increase the boost, but if i was to do that id need a fpr. Its a smooth power delivery and im really pleased with how it is on the road.

ive removed the amal valve on mine and adjusted boost via actuator, works good and you dont get any over boost this way
not bad results them either

an amal valve is device that works in conjunction with the ecu to increase boost so as to not have a lot of preload on the actuator,on a ford it more or less doubles the boost pressure.it helps the boost be smoother also rather than coming in with a spike then tailing off.

Interesting. So 240bhp at the wheels is about 300bhp at the fly yes?

oh, pagey, that bloke has been telling porkies, he said 25% power loss thru transmission?

Which ever, it doesn't matter, as you'll get to atleast 300bhp with a XE inlet cam and a amal valve!
