Im lookinginto tuning my Corsa GSi and have a few engine ideas that I would like your opinions on.

Any other ideas are welcome.

Im biased as I have heard a few 1.6 16v's on tb's but not any 2.0 8v's on carbs

1.6 on TB's imo, less hassle than sourcing a decent engine and getting it put in etc

1600 on throttle bodies. Expensive but then it will still handle well.

for £1200? To get the full potention you ill need aftermarket management and a decent set up cant see that being done for a £1200 buget tbh

indeed, do you want to keep the lightness of the 1.6 for better handling or want better straight line speed at the sacrafice of a heavier front.

Although I am not sure of the weight differences on a 2.0 8v and a 16 16v

Its all very fairy tale talking about 1.6 on tbs is lighter etc etc but to get anywhere near the performance of the XE its going to cost at least double what te XE conversion costs!

Also just as a disclamer I am not saying one is better than the other just one is not feasible for 1200 notes
