Can drive the car for about 15mins then when i let the revs drop below 1000-1200 eg when i change gear, the revs drop fully and the car stalls. It starts straight away but its a pain when slowing down to junctions.

Plus the EML comes on sometime.. probably once for a minute every 5minutes..

Few mates have suggested:
throttle position sensor
idle control valve

Help please

if your car has a electronic speedo then put a vehicle speed sensor in it, looks like that is your problem... Fairly common on corsas with electronic speedo's

If your speedo ain't working and it's electric the car doesn't know how fast it's goin and gets confused.

If it's the ICV they usually idle high when they go.

in the cable driven speedo there is a cog that drives a VSS sender (vehicle speed signal) which gives the ecu an indication of speed. If there is no signal to the ecu (snapped cable?) then the ECU wont know when to open the ICV to allow enough air for the car to idle.

Tried the cable? 99% says it will be that. Pointless TTT in the thread to get people telling you the same thing.
