Tough 1 to call again;
Spaniards on paper have possibly the best midfield in the competition, you won't find a better front 2 and their defence and keeper are solid.
Russia have had the 2 most impressive attacking full backs maybe barring Lahm and Boswinga and their entire side is full of youth and energy which eventually outlasted the Dutch.
Two hottest properties in Europe just now will be showcased in Arshavin and Villa but i reckon it might be a case of who scores most out of Torres and Pavlyuchenko!
Spain win 2-1

Spain FTW.
Failing that senile manager to take off Torres again and Russia to then win.

Rumours are he's going 1 up with Torres and keeping Villa on the bench until later. Agreed though, he is an old racist prick.

I think Russia will sneak it
Arshavin will make a big difference to the team that got hammered early doors, plus the confidence boost they have had will make a big difference IMO

He cant not start Villa
Think he'd drop Torres before him imo.

The first game would have been completely different if it weren't for Torres, i think you're doing him a dis-service there!

To his standards though he hasnt done much, although as you say his work off the ball made that first game.
I think if Spain were prepared to get the ball forward quicker, instead of trying to pass it 1,000,000 times before shooting (much like Arsenal) then you'd see much more form Torres.

Nah i genuinely believe he was the key to them beating Russia. If you look at Villa's celebration after he scored the third i think he'd agree.

No I meant I was fishing
I agree he was instrumental in the first game but as Cosmo said, Spains play doesnt suit Torres

Nice thread hammer agree with your summary completely
I think spain should be able to unlock there defence, russia are well organised but they don't sit behind the ball quite as much as itlay and will make a few mistakes imo.
Saying that i'd never write russia off now I just hope spain turn it on and do them over by a few
