Halfords don't stock these. They had to mix a (tiny) can for £13.
The can was shite. It sprayed like it was spraying through a straw. The result was absolutely awful. I primered it beautifully and I thought it was going to be bang on, but I blame the can 100%.
Where else can I get it?

They do it off the shelf in the normal cans. well they do in the local one to me anyway. Used it to refurb an alloy. Although the colour match was no where near the same as my car. Good job it didnt matter

Theres nothing wrong with rattle cans, you just need to know how to use them

not a bad finish considering it was like this before.

(yes it is bodged with filler )

For little touch up and doing things like wheels rattle cans are mint. Got a really good finish on my old alloys with halfords cans and have done some touching up on the bodywork and you can hardly tell take your time and you'll be fine mate

I'll try another store, I guess.
Quite annoying as the primer was bang on, but the spray can they mixed up squirted like it was coming through a hose -- very difficult to use. It was all or nothing. The other cans were superb.

did you not do a test spray on something b4 the car?
i agree cans can be used and made to do excellent jobs, i got a perfect colour match for my old nova, took my time primed painted and laquered couldnt tell the difference at all.

I had used Halfords cans before so I was confident. I managed to get a professional finish on one side but that was luck in all honesty. Controlling the spray can was awful compared to the lacquer and primer. I really need to find smoke grey in the normal cans and I'll be sorted.

Take your time with ghetto tins, heat them up in warm water to thin the paint...
Keeping the surface you are spraying warm too with a hair dryer or equivalent gives a better finish also...

Sprayed my morettes with cans and came out perfect, tbh its the lacquer that most people fuck up. should spray alot on in single goes to get a smooth finish but not so it runs, hard to get it right but when you do it looks spot on! Ps bought smoke grey in my local halfrauds
