Guys, i need to refurb some wheels this weekend, can some give me a brief description of the steps to take and the bits i need
primer - any particualr type
wet/dry paper - again not sure what kind
paint - can i use normal halfords paint?

depending on the condition of the wheel you may wanna get the tyre taken off, rub down any big gouges or anything with a sanding block to get them as smooth as possible.
Then use Chemical metal to fill the damage and let it set. 1200 wet and dry will be best to rub it down with to get a smooth finish(use water with aswell)
metal primer will be the best thing to use, flat it down with wet and dry between coats.
yeah any kind of paint willl do, again flat down between coats and laquer at the end just take your time and it should look mint

cheers mate, tyres already off the wheels, is chemical metal better to use that putty or filler?

yeah, that what i used on my team dynamics wheels
after all rubbed down and painted can't tell the diff

chemical metal will be better than filler but isnt cheap.
can be done with filler if heavily keyed 1st but will crack or flake off after time

what grade should i use to flatten down the paint and primer? 1200?

I agree with this but 1200 grade is mega OTT, I can polish metal so I can see my face in it with 1200 grades W&D.
For a first pass, just use 320's. If you wish you can use 600 to flat between coats, that is more than ample.

wouldnt use halfords spray can paint...will chip off with a stone chip
