Afternoon,

Do the side strips on my corsa sport just clip off and on? I'm wanting to colour code them and would prefer to take them off rather than mask the door.

Or if anyone has any helpful hints, fire away.

They stick on, might be better to just buy new strips off ebay to paint then replace them. Keep the old ones for spares. As for painting sand down till smooth, prime, paint and lacquer.

Ps if you have ever used bumper care products i wouldnt try painting the old strips as i think the paint wont take to the plastic. I think

a good clean with petrol should take care of the bumper care products.

Was thinking that.

If I decide to do it on the car, would I just use some newspaper and normal masking tape? Any ideas on how to avoid overspray if I do it like that?

To be honest if they need to come off I'd not bother putting them back on.

you should really take them off to sand the textured shit of them. if you spray straight over it'll be crap.

tbh unless you actually bump stuff all the time or park in busy car parks you'll probably decide when you take them off that you might want to just leave them off.
