Ok,
Basically tried to upgrade (it's not my account tis my mum's) because we are only on 1mb which isn't that quick tbh and they have a new offer which is cheaper and better (up to 8mb, unlimited downloads and free weekend calls for £14.99 + 25% off [£8.24])
Everytime we log into the account and click on upgrade to that specific package it won't let us
It just says "Not allowed" please phone customer services....
Does anyone here work for tiscali or could point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Ash

customer services = some indian who never deals with the problem you have hate their customer services tbh. (im with tiscali but leave it as it is and cba to get mum and dad to change )
i went about 3 weeks without a connection as they had apparently 'upgraded' the whole system in out area.

At 10p a min and considering it's not my account what good would that do?
I was looking for an answer from someone who has actually dealt with the company not someone who would point out something obvious in a sarcastic manner

Im on tiscali bud but i did my upgrade online and it was quite easy, had to wait ages for them to upgrade the line or something though but all is sorted now.
All i can suggest is that you phone them up, tell them its your mums account (they might need to speak to her for 5sec just to confirm)
Again, im pretty sure its an Indian call centre, either that or its in Bradford

It tell you to ring up CS, what does it matter if anyone has dealt with them or not. It's not like everyones options are universally the same.
Also makes no difference if it's your mums account or not if she tells them your allowed to speak to them on her behalf.
A day and half later your still non the wiser.

The whole point in asking on here was because I wanted to find out whether there were any other ways around the problem... and whether people had experienced the same problem and what they did to overcome it?
Yes the most probable route will be to phone customer services, but there is no harm in asking around (in case there is anything that I have missed)
If someone has a specific problem with their engine - a pointless reply would be "consult your haynes manual" (or in this instance phone customer services)
A more helpful answer would have been "Check (x), I had a similar problem and had to do this, this and this"
If you can't reply with a helpful answer don't bother replying
