the Grande Radio doesnt have a Pre out for a sub, and due to the fone system im not buying a new radio, I want to keep the standard one, a new one isnt an option
Ive found a (very vauge ) guide about using the rear speakers as a pre out
is it a case of buying the adaptor which is 2 phono leads ( red and black ) and connecting the +/- wires from each speaker to the respective wires on the adaptor?
then I can....
+12v - no probs, straight from the battery
Remote - +12 switched live
Earth - to body
+/- to sub
or or just plain ???

my set up is wired independantly, that way i can have my music without the sub etc
using your rear speaker wires is the best way for you to do it, you can even cheekily still use your rear speakers if you splice the wires

I have been lookin into this for my girlfriends corsa D. From what i understand you can get the wires you were on about from Halfords for about 7 quid.
Buttttttttttt if you use them you need another amp to run the rear speakers as its not just a case of splicing into them.

IIRC, you need to splice the + from one speaker and the - from the other, to make the amp 'see' the 'missing' signal.
That's how I did mine.

The best way to do it is at the headunit end, then run the RCAs down the car. Had a disaster trying to do it from the rear speakers in a Mk6 Fezza

What?
That's what you do when you want a centre speaker in a home stereo setup, the same applies in a car.
