Who do people expect to surpass expectations this year?
I have a few in mind which I won't divulge due to a desire to win the fantasy football league again, but I have not selected Duff and if he can remain fit I think he will be a revelation this season as Keegan loves attacking, entertaining football, which suits them both.
I think West Ham, Newcastle and Man City will all achieve above their expected mantle this year. All are very questionable teams that could literally finish 'anywhere' but I think each of them will surprise the 'average fan' this year.

I can see west ham struggling to be honest, and everton if they dont make any signings. Its a tricky question to be honest, without waiting for the end of the window. I think hull may do ok for the 1st season.

West Ham will probably be plagued by injuries!
Newcastle should do well, in reality they will underachieve again.
Can see top 4 being the same with 3-4th being close due to 5th and 6th breathing down their necks.

I fancy Ipswich Town to do well, don't know why, its just a hunch.
I also think Queen of the South will do well in the Scottish First Division this year. And they might just stay in Europe a wee while longer than Rangers

I'm liking all this optimism for Newcastle however I think we will be battling it our with the bottom six rather than the top six judging by our preseason and our paper thin squad

We'll be bottom half imo. Not challenging for Europe anyway.
Need a few signings urgently, like FB cover, playmaker perhaps and probably could do with a striker seeing as Stroller Ameobi and Smith can be discounted.
I reckon same top 4, Everton to drop a little, Pompey and Citeh to do alright. Villa not to do as well as last season. B'burn to drop to bottom half.
Fulham have spent a lot but still think they'll be bottom half (but probably not relegation battlers).

West Ham will do better than the media are predicting imo which appears to be shite and Curbishley sacked first.

Luton to reach the Play Offs.
33/1 to get promoted.
We are not as shit as -30 suggest. Don't forget the -30 has no reflection on the teams ability. 100 points (which we got last time we were this low) would see 70. Play Off territory.

I'm not dreaming. I'm just not a doom and gloom merchant. It's not impossible. Why not aim high? We'll have the players to get there.

Have you though?
I know you re-signed someone (Kevin Nicholls?) that left who apparently turned down Championship clubs and higher wages to help the cause (top stuff IMO, shame there aren't more like that!) but from what I read I am led to believe you are very thin squad wise?
I believe you have Sam Parkin as well who had a season or two where he was smacking them in for fun at a highe level for Swindon.

I think Everton will have a bad season, definately bottom half, not relegated though, usual crowd in the top 4, with Man City, Spurs, Villa and Portsmouth filling the top 8. Hull, Stoke and Wigan for the drop.

And yeah, we have Parkin, but he hasn't found any form yet. Here's hoping he does this season.
