something like that should suffice. providing the subs are 1 Ohm stable, which i doubt they are, cos they only look cheap.

my mate is running 2 x 1200w subs with a 1000w vibe amp, and that sounds awsome. So why would i need a 2200W

because each sub has 1100W RMS power so if you have 2 of them that is 2200W
To get the most out of these subs that is the amount of power you will need.
Your mate is underpowering his subs by a long shot. This can cause distortion etc etc

To be honest 300W RMS per sub will be fine for those. A huge number of subs come with very optimistic power ratings.
I had a 1400W RMS reaudio XXX sub and sometimng for 1k+ will weigh 4-5 stone and have a great thick surround to the cone for massive excursion
