Can kiss my arse
Meant to playing them in our centenary game tomorrow night, and when the game was arranged before LAST season Arsenal committed to sending a full strength sqaud, and playing a near enough full strength team for the majority of the game.
The game was arranged against Arsenal because Herbert Chapman manged us & them back in the day, and as Chapman was our most successful manger we thought it only right we played them. Paid them the appearance fee accordingly, and the job was set up.
Now, I've just seen the squad they are sending, and it only contains Theo Wallcott from the first team Seem's Arsenal have been offered more money to go play in a Tournament over next weekend & are sending the "first team" over there instead
So despite having agreed with us over 18 months ago what was happening, they have pulled out at the last minute due to someone paying them more money. I hope every single player breaks thier legs in the tournament, and they get relegated next season.

Walcott, Wilshere, Vela, J Hoyte, Fabianski... they are the only first team representatives
Agreed its a bit of a weak side but you can see why so close to start of season and with tough weekend games coming up but I do agree with you, quite disappointing

Wouldn't even class them as first teamers (Wallcott, possibly Hoyte aside), guessing most of them have only played Carling Cup games & not actual Premier League games.
If the game had only just been sorted this season, then I could accept what they have done, but the fact they have had the game planned for 18 months, and them knowing what the game represents, then I think it is totally disrespectful towards us.

Ended up losing 2-1 in the end, although we did take a 1-0 nil lead
We matched Arsenal throughout, was quite a good game with both teams going close on a number of occasions before the goals. Theo looked sharp for Arsenal, as did that young lack who played down the left. Nobody else really stood out TBH.
Crowd was over 19k which contained about 3.5k from Arsenal, so at least the fans the showed up, if not the team
Good night all in all, cant wait for Saturday now when the real stuff begins

Good result 2-1 given the huge number of first teamers playing.

Headphones during a trophy presentation is a disgrace. But tbh...I did't even know there was a trophy to be won. Maybe the players didn't either, hence the embarrased look.
Can we claim this as a trophy won for the new season??!!
