I keep getting a bad back from sleeping.
How the fuck does this happen?
Had a bad back for approx 2 weeks now. Iall feels muscular no joint/bone ache.
I have a relatively hard bed which i was under the impression is better for you, put a mattress cover on to aid softness, made no difference whatsoever.
Help

I went through the stage of having a bad back when sleeping on our memory foam mattress.
Now gone to a sprung firm one and dont have any problems. Still not as hard as I'd like!
Sometimes I'll just grab a pillow and go to sleep on the floor as I dont find the matress firm enough! Then wake up about 3am and get into bed!

It's what everyone should be sleeping on, i could go into my usual big speel but i'll save you it
Basically people spend a third of their life lying on an inner spurng mattress which main attributes are to push back on you with the same force you give lying on it. A visco elastic mattress is memory foam, it forms round your body shape giving you a more comfortable sleep and aleviates back pain and ailments of that nature

Don't get a cheap memory foam one thats memory foam all the way through, from experience they are rubbish.
Get a piss the bed NHS one with a layer of visco each side and stronger foam in the middle, as recommended by uncle Hammer.

If you're getting it from an actual foam supplier you can dictate the mixture of visco to ordinary foam to whatever suits you best....soft/hard.
Reason i don't sleep on 1 myself is i find they're too warm and i sweat like a rapist at night. I have a pocket sprung 1 with a thin layer of foam either side
