hi guys,
i brought the car back in november 2006 off a fellow mig member, when i brought the car it had a x20xev 2.0 16v engine fitted, over the next few months of owning the car, i brought a few things that it needed such as, gaz coilovers off Dave A, (which were great ) then i just fixed the little teething problems, such as heated seat wiring etc. i then decided after going to pvs 2007 that it was time to look into a c20let.
After looking on this site and a few others i found all the info i needed and was ready to start looking for a decent engine.i brought the engine with 72k on the clock and photos of clocks etc to prove from vpsc. i then fully rebuilt the engine with all new gaskets, z20let headgasket, arps and new sump baffle plate with bonded gasket, new cambelt and pulleys.
i was more concered about the engines mechanical side than looks
Any way heres the progress so far .......
car as i brought it back in 06
x20xev engine

Looks funking cool that! I really miss seeing things differant on corsas. Everbodys the same, and corsas have got very dated and boring now.
The x20xev looks right at home there, wonder why vauxhall never done it as standard?
Good luck with the LET conversion, well worth the hard work.

edit : Dan's brother originally owned, and stuck an xe in it, hence the huge cut out at the back for the sfi box, then he stuck the eco in it when the engine died iirc

so much easier when you have a ramp
not a lot left to do, its all wired up, just waitin on my exhaust system from BEARDY and my modified linkage, then i can connect up the rest of the water pipes etc, and will be running.
