I have been and looked at a W reg Focus today, but the c/l didn't work, i've tried to find info on focus forums, but they arn't all as active as here What i'm wondering is if anyone knows if this is a common problem with these cars? as my 306 had no working central locking.

Thanks, also does anyone know any good focus forums?

not really a comman problem central locking on focus, they do tend to have few electircal problems though such as windows clocks etc

also other problem to look for, leaking boots, noisey tensoners, fan belt tensoners, speedo not working, knocks from suspension,

Its up for £1995.

I see you mention leaking boot, this 1 had some water in the spare wheel well, and when i started it, there was a noise from the fanbelt, seems I might have to leave it :/ Is the fan belt tensioner expensive to replace?
