having your front windows tinted, if you have them down when you get pulled?
Someone told me today that they have to catch you driving with your windows up for it to be illegal, and therefore give you a ticket etc
Surely this is rubbish?

well its kindof rubbish, but if your windows are all the way down, then the copper aint going to notice

yea but if you have back ones tinted and you're driving around at night in the rain etc with you're windows down it's kind of a hint that you'll have the front ones done aswel
just curious really

well lets just say you happen to get pulled with front windows down, copper asks you to put you're windows up
can they do you for the tints?

They wont ask to look unless they suspect the fronts are tinted imo

They have some little light or something they shine through the tint, if it reads too dark or w/e they can do you for it. But i think they have to let a certain % of light through to pass mot.

yeh 70% but arnt the corsa windows slightly tinted anyway. i want to try and find legal window tinting

if they are more than 25% tinted on the front they can give you a ticket, or make you peel a it off or part of it off at the roadside, i saw it on a traffic police thing on tv a few months ago.. some bint in a bmw x5 with huge wheels and limo black windows all round got pulled over, i actually found it quite funny as she had to call her bloke to come find her and peel it off himself because she didnt want to break her nails!
ill shut up now lol
