My temp gauge has stopped working in the dial part, the needle doesnt move at all, anyone no what could be up? car runs fine as can be!

the little sensor by your thermostat has possiably fell off. Just needs ''sliding'' back on.

The coolant temp sensor is either dirty or your needing a new 1, try taking it out 1st and cleaning it with wire wool 
or as above check the spade is on  forgot about that
