Well I thought it was about time I started my new project on here. After having my 1.0 for 2 years I need a bit of luxury and power so in June I decided to buy a 1997 Corsa Sport 1.6 off Gavstar off here.
As my insurance renewal wasn't until October I decided to do a bit off 'work' to it
Well lets start from the beggining....
I brought like this:
Its nearly mint with a few dings but the interior is clean, it came with Speedlines, V6 brakes, Powerflow centre section with 3'' Magnex back box and Gmax suspention but I dont know how low.
It stayed like that for a few weeks untill i decided to change a few bits...
1st off changed the bumper and grill, off she comes!
Also took off the side bits off the doors, sport stickers and badges on the boot.
Ah thats better
And then the rear bumper, mmm lovley..
Nearly there!!
There we go, much better!!!
Nice piccy of the brakes..
Then put a smooth scuttle on..
mmmm smooth!
Then put colour coded arches and boot surround on...
Then a bod boy bonnet...
Then that was the outside done, next.. the interior!!!!
Put leather seats, door cards and parcel shelf in..
Also added Richbrook gear knob and door pins.
Well as the interior is sorted, time to move to the engine!!!
Did really want to just do an air filter and exhaust im gonna try to get the engine to a reasonable power while making it reliable and at least a good mpg figure.
First I decided to remove the air intake manifold..
The whole intake mesured 1.6 meters without the air box
Ah thats better..
On they go...
And the chamber..
Started it up and it runs straight away! sounded lovley and went well.
Then decided to get some managment and brought Megasquirt 2 system off Warren G aswell as the Throttle bodies as the managment was built for them so its just plugging all the wires!
New loom and ECU
Old loom on the car..
And with it all fitted!
Unfortuanly it dosnt start now but i think its all down the the mapping and I dont really know or really want to have a go at it just in case it goes wrong!
But its due to go to Torque of the Devil this or next month to see if they can sort it out!!!
Anyway thanks for looking, il try and update as much as I can and any comments and suggestions are welcome

looks good but what i would do is extend the wires and hide them behind the bulkhead and have them coming out near the coolant tank, would look a bit neater imo

jesus that is awesome.really love it.not too sure on the speedlines though....they just dont seem to key in with the bumpers.your car though so your rules.a nice set of twin spokes would set that off a treat
