Maybe I should've worded it better

You're new to it all, want to learn about the camera & it's functions

I'd imagine that most people find the up close stuff more interesting to start with?

Like I said, what would/did you but as a next lens

70-300, because the standard lens didnt cut it at car shows and motorsport events.

I think I might get a 50mm, not planning on doing any car stuff just yet

For a Pentax/Samsung K mount fitment, whats a good lens to get? Also might get a polarizer filter at the same time

If you're just wanting to learn how to use the camera, whats wrong with the kit lens?

What benefit will a fifty give you that the kit lens doesn't already do you think?

I'd personally stick with your kit lens for a while mate, learn your camera, and then upgrade when you know what you're wanting.
