England in full:
Goalkeepers: Paul Robinson (Blackburn), David James (Portsmouth), Robert Green (West Ham)
Defenders: Joleon Lescott (Everton), Wayne Bridge (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), John Terry (Chelsea), Wes Brown (Manchester United), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), Matthew Upson (West Ham)
Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Jimmy Bullard (Fulham), David Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), David Bentley (Tottenham), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham)
Forwards: Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jermain Defoe (Portsmouth), Emile Heskey (Wigan).
Bullard deserves his call up, I'm surprised it hasn't come sooner!

Ashton has been unlucky, I think he deserves a go, he just got his way in and snapped his ankle, poor fella.

Would that be ex Liverpool players that have moved on to bigger and better things?

I think most on here would vouch for my hatred of the horrible little dwarf but at the end of the day he is still the biggest goal threat England have when fit. What that says for the sorry state of striking options England have at their disposal is a different story!

I agree with what Shearer said on MOTD2, even if Owen's not match fit, if we need a goal against Croatia (or even Andorra knowing England) with 20 mins left there's no better player to bring on 1 in every 2 games doesn't lie either.
Hopefully SWP will get some games under his belt, a lot of competition in the midfield for him though

id rather a team of 11 bullards playing with passion and pride and lose than play a bunch of tossers like gerrard and lampard!!

exactly. He did this last weekend against Bolton. Match fit, imo, owen is world class but unfortunately he isn't. Injuries have really got the better of owen and i can't see him getting match fit anytime soon as it is injury after injury
