I always use Tv/Av, but I wouldn't say its semi-automatic.
I use it to save me time having to reset both settings - just select the shutter speed I'm after, camera takes a guess at aperture and I dial in exposure compensation if I think its wrong.
Never use P/Auto, to my mind theres no point using a DSLR if you're going to do that. Rarely use full manual, though sometimes you need to for some situations

Manual when I have time to setup.
Aperture priority for general shooting.
Shutter priority for motorsport.

I try and use manual most of the time but for quick snaps it's no good so I usually flick it to aperture priority.
Shutter priority for motorsport
Also usually use aperture priority for stealth shots too Namely cos I don't actually look at the camera when I'm taking some photos

It depends what im shooting tbh. When I have a lot of time (Night shoots and scenery) then its full manual. Aperature and shutter priority most of the other time depending on the scenario
