think you are going to get some biasd views on this mate, i think that ps3 has better graphics + blu ray so that give you more options etc but on the other hand for the 360 (which im getting on saturday) you've got the equipemnt to chat to people on msn/online so its either or really as 'andy1868 said you cant go wrong with either

I've got a PS3, always had playstations, not a fan of the Xbox 360, but got to admit was / is still better titles for the 360!
PS3 will take over before long in the game front IMO

PS3 is the better system and people are now realising this despite the steeper price tag. The 360 has some perks though.

There's been like a million threads on this before. The general attitude is, if you've always been a sony fanboy then those people get PS3's. If you're not a fanboy, want to save money and play better games, then get the 360.
It's also worth noting that the 360 hass a 3yr warranty, as opposed to the PS3 1yr. I recently had mine refurbished by Microsoft and it was a week from collection to return and they gave me a free XBL membership.
If you actually look at game comparisons, the graphics aren't really different at all, espcially when it's games that have just been ported accross to each like the NFS series.

Kind of as said really, if you've had Playstations before you'll probably want to get the PS3. I've had all 3 and had an XBox. I only bought 2 games for it (PGR and Abes Exodus) as I couldn't really get on with it. Theres some really good games on the 360 though.
Worth noting that one of of 360's finest, Bioshock is coming out on PS3. 360 does have Halo though.

Went for the PS3 as i thought it was more future proof, and a blu-ray player is still Ł250+
Never been a fan of Xbox's either, so was an easy choice really

Ive always had playstations (2 ps1's, 2 ps2's, a dreamcast). Went for the 360 as the PS3 wasnt actually out at the time, but wouldnt go for it as it is too expensive for me (im a student), plus I dont need a bluray player, and wont for years, dvd's look fine as they are. As said, the majority of games dont have a particular difference in graphics, what makes the difference is if you get a 360 Elite with HDMI displaying at 1080p as opposed to normal 720p/1080i (thats what im on atm)
I personally prefer the chunkier 360 controllers, and also prefer the layout (right stick down and left stick up, prefer the triggers as well). You will find the choice of games similar in the coming months but 360 games seem to drop in price quicker than PS3 ones? Maybe its just me and the games I buy.
One of the pros of the PS3 is free online playability, against 360 you have to pay, which sucks a little, but can sort that out on ebay Ł1 a month XBL
As said not much in it tbh

Prefer the PS3 to my 360.
For one it doesn't sound like a jet engine waiting to take off and its got a more innovative line up in the future games wise than the 360. And major point is the built in wireless, no need to buy play/charge kits and the online is free and has a browser.

Arguably, that's why you paid Ł200 more for the PS3.
